I personally believe that the U.S should not ban TikTok. For starters, TikTok allows information to be widely spread at rapid rates. While that might sound alarming at first, this can be used for many good productive reasons like spreading awareness, spreading opportunities and much more. TikTok has also provided and is still till this day providing many job opportunities for people all over the world. There are many social media platforms where our information could be accessed if need be and to single out TikTok seems unreasonable. However, I must acknowledge the potential access to U.S information China would have seeing as TikTok is owned by china. I do believe that it should still be a decision made independently and not by the government. I think that a choice on comfortably and confidently should be a choice left up to the individuals it affects. In conclusion, banning TikTok in the U.S is not a decision Iād agree with simply because the pros and opportunities outweigh the potential risk of information access.
