While strategy improves over time, agricultural zoning law isn’t as effective in protecting consumers, as it can be. What could make it stronger, would be implementing systems that ensure the health of consumers isn’t put at risk from the structure of agricultural land in a given location. Making efforts to be more strict with when and where zoning occurs would likely prevent the constant contamination of foods. Reducing the volume of production of a product in a particular zone helps bring more attention to smaller products such as chicken. Allowing local governments the power to make changes such as these would make a positive change, as agriculture practices vary by location. Overall, being more harsh and strict on where regulation takes place can prevent much contamination, and will be possible. With more authority being given to local governments, more strict laws would serve as a great benefit to agriculture as a whole.
