LLI at the University of Cincinnati was awarded a $3,500 Murray and Agnes Seasongood Good Government Foundation Grant. The grant was awarded to LLI for the implementation of 10th grade internships at public sector law offices during LLI's 2013 Summer Institute. During the week long internships, LLI Cincinnati sophomores will actively engage in local public sector law offices by attending meetings with attorneys and working on a series of legal case studies (provided by LLI) that involve the volunteer attorneys’ practice area.

The Murray and Agnes Seasongood Good Government Foundation was established by the Cincinnati civic reformer and his wife to continue their lifelong devotion to the causes of good local government, the merit system in selecting public employees, and citizen participation in public affairs. Murray and Agnes Seasongood thus continue to provide to all public-spirited citizens an indomitable and inspired leadership in the causes to which they dedicated their lives.
